Bill Whittaker's 1941 Chevrolet Coupe

Owner
Centerline

Description
A six year project, this car was finally finished in August 1999. The flames were sprayed on Saturday and the following Wednesday the car was on it's way to the NSRA Nats at Louisville.

It's powered by a .030 over 454 with 10.1 cr, Competition Cams 294 hydraulic cam, SS valves, and dual Carter 625 Competition AFB's on an Edelbrock manifold.

Power is transmitted by a TCI prepaired TH-400 with a 2000 stall converter to a narrowed Ford 9" with 3.70 gears. The front suspension is a Heidts Mustang II and the rear setup is an S&W Race Cars ladder bar with coil overs.

The car also has an electric steel tilt front end, shaved door handles and a hand built custom fiberglass dash with Cyberdyne electronic gauges.

All the work was accomplished by me in my garage except the exhause system and the stitching of the interior.

This is my ride, and I'd like to edit it.
